5 Key Points about DP

September 4, 2007

Unfortunately I won’t be able to meet all of you lovely readers in the real world. So to fix this problem I decided to write this article, to give you an impression of what I’m like beyond the blog. So its gonna be be like one of those “get to know me better” exercises. Yeah sure, these exercises may be painful for some. But truth be told in the end you (my faithful reader) will have a better understanding of who I am and why I’m doing this. So I present 5 key points about myself:

Head, Hair, Headgear and Beanies

If you have checked out the photos in my flickr account then you already know that I have quite a head of hair, which I am very proud of. Unfortunately sometimes this gets a bit hard to manage so I equip myself with one of my beanies. They are also great in winter as I can’t stand being without one. :D I also dig a whole lot of other headwear but unfortunately I don’t wear caps as well it just doesn’t look great. Just look at the photos and you’ll get the picture.

Conversationalist

You know how everyone is born with a special talent but we generally haven’t a clue on what it is? Well I think mine has something to do with expression. I find that I’m naturally interested in expressing myself accurately in conversation and admire people that do it well(partly because I don’t think that I am very good at it). This is why when I talk to people I try and make it intelligently descriptive but so formal. Its a skill that I am trying to pass on to my writing rythm and hence is one of the reasons why I blog.

Rush Hour

Maybe its not the right title to express my constant movement towards progression. I cannot stand being unproductive, I ensure that I am always working on something. This could be my 2 blogs, Uni work, my friends and family, Chinese language, photography, digital design, video game news, and a pile of 80 odd games that I need to finish(that is 100% complete, argh ><). It just never ends and I find that I sometimes push myself to breaking point. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Passion

I believe that there is little point doing something if you are not completely passionate about it. Hence I am overly passionate about my interests and try to express that through my conversation. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and wonder why some people just aren’t overwhelmed with the excitement of possibility. There is just so much to look forward to, it honestly is far too overwhelming at times, so hard to contain myself.

Your Attitude is Welcome, Welcome

There’s a philosophy of mine that I strongly follow, that is: if someone were to go out of their way to help me then it would make me feel great, so I should do that for other people. This doesn’t always mean doing a huge favour for someone, it could be inviting someone into a conversation or making someone feel welcomed. I like to apply this ethos to my work(retail as I’m studying ATM) as it helps me improve my customer service skills, which is what I’m all about. I’m like that guy at those game expos that tries to get everyone to join in.

I hope that paints a clearer picture of my personality. This article is just a quick fill in while I prepare for the end of the working term, considering that subscribers are at an all time high I figured that you guys might be interested. If you have questions or anything, then leave a comment and I’ll gladly answer it. ^_^
