Rolling with it
August 19, 2005
Well that’s one way to describe me ATM. I spose that I’m feeling pretty happy. I’m putting in the usual effort and I’m rolling with it. Hmm just like that Oasis song lol. Anyways I’ve had 2 maths tests this week, I managed put in as much as I could with them and am pretty satisfied. I have a group of 3 chinese assignments to do but they aren’t due until ages. A 600 character piece, damn that’s gonna be hard. And a Maths assignment. I started and finished my The Crucible assignment in English and to a good level. So I’m staying consistent with school.
I’ve been reading(on my own accord, we had to watch the video in English) The Crucible which has been pleasantly interesting.
My site has also been kicking up the success, we have plenty of forum members and its at least twice as fast as the old forum which is great. The forum is so well set out and we have some cool mods in it as well. The site has been getting a few updates too and many of the inital errors should be gone in a few days. Especially the terrible forum errors. I made another wallpaper too, I’ll get it up on dA soon. I recommend that you check out my site and forum, the links are in my sig.
With other forums I’ve decided what I will do, I decided not to post at E-mpire, I didn’t really want that anyway. I have focused most of my attention on NRX, Adelindie and Aussie-Nintendo. Mainly NRX. I still need to continue my argument with Grover on AI. I’ve been doing heaps of research. AN is fine, I haven’t really been doing much there.
dA is going great, I’ve hardly put up many of my walls(don’t worry there’s more than just abstract I’m just doing it based on my sites order). I’ve received heaps of full views and a few comments which is great. I need to add some favourites though. I have about 5 in mind. I’ll get onto that soon.
I should also have a job interview this week, I need to get it for the holidays. So that I can pick up the games, cds and music player stuff as well as putting money towards next years China trip. I need to catch up in games, CDs are fine but in total there are like 30 cds on my list to pick up sp lots to look forward to then.
With the debate that Grover and I having I have needed to some some surveys and overall general research on the PSP and a few other things. I would have had all of my material if my damn history didn’t delete itself. I am working very hard to ensure that I put in a good word. Thing is though, since the argument is on lots of things games based(and me being a pretty much single sided Nintendo fan) its been difficult to get a overall perspective, so that’s what I’ve done. And I’ve been thinking about picking up another console(non-Nintendo), I really dislike the approach of the PS3 and Xbox360 and will pick up a Revolution(so many incentives, it links to my DS, online Nintendo games(OMGz), I can get games that I’ve missed in the past, its meant to be the new standard of games and I still don’t know much about it, so theres heaps to look forward to), the PS2 and Xbox are too old and the support for them are dying(no more Xbox games being made :/). Plus there are hardly any games that interest me on those consoles. So I have been looking into the PSP, it looks to fill the void of a regular portable consoles(DS is diff. approach, this is more normal). It looks to have heaps going for it and from my research there are already(Aus. Launch) 3 games that I would like to buy on it. I don’t really care for the media stuff too much. But I want to pick one up. Price is a major issue(specially when you want to pick up a $400 music player) so I have made up my mind. If there are at least 15 or so games that intrest me and it comes out cheaper(like $100), in a diff. colour and has some sort of Platnium range and some progress in its overall development(ie internet) then I might pick it up. Maybe.
To finish, I’m busy for the next few weeks, having a 3 round cycle of visits to friends places, ending in a sleep over..I think. And I have to prepare for the Duke of Ed canoe challenge another great event, especially when one of my mates that doesn’t do it can join along(again). Chris(my brother) and I are also planning a few parties to have over the school holidays, we need a job first. So very much to look forward to…but it always seems like that.
