Some Links will Never Change

May 15, 2007

Hey folks, I’ve got a pile of links and stuff to post about so lets get into it.

Last weekend wasn’t too bad I had a haircut, did a brief bit of shopping and had mothers day on the Sunday. I was really happy with my new haircut, got my fav hairdresser this time. Its just a shorter version of the same old, with a bit more left at the back. :) Just the way I like it.

Chris picked up a few CDs on the weekend:

Eyes Open Snow Patrol
Minutes to Midnight Linkin Park
Black Fingernails Red Wine Bonus edition Eskimo Joe

I haven’t listened to Eskimo Joe yet as I’m not really interested. Eyes Open is okay but I think that the album doesn’t deserve as much popularity. I guess I’m already faithful to other bands of the same genre.

Minitues to Midnight is very interesting. Its very alternative, I like it..probably less so than LPs previous albums. But thats not because its bad, I don’t think that LP have hit the mark with this one. And I rekon that they know it. They seem to still be searching for their new sound. Saying this I love Bleed it out and Hands held high they have such excellent lyrics and definetly deserve major kudos.

There are two songs that I want to link out to. Specifically I want to link out to a song that I’ve been interested for a long time but have only now gotten around to listening to it again.

That is the song Changes by 2Pac. Its such an inspiring song, I’ve the song in my head for at least a week. I’ll try and keep an eye out for his Greatest Hits CD so I can pick that up.In anycase check out the clip:

The other clip I wanted to show is from the new Finger Eleven CD, catchy song and impressive video, I like the new direction. I just have to hunt down the CD as it get such a limited release down here IMO.Alrighy, I’ve got a few good reads from other blogs. First Nate Whitehill has posted a great article about getting readers to stick. I’ll be trying a few of these techniques(among others) for a slight re-design of PrimeScape. Retronauts have posted PS3′s Own “Virtual Console” – A Short Wish List which is another great read.My brother has also gotten into this new program aggregator called Wakoopa. I’m not interested in joining but its fairly interesting nethertheless. Gametrailers and Screw Attack have had a good number of video countdowns lately. Top 10 Worse Consoles wasn’t too bad.I have to make a quick plug for my BlogLog community. I didn’t even know that this existed until I checked the other day. I’ll have the widget installed soon enough but until then I’ll just link off here. :)

On a few last words I got a B for my Capsicum Planet Brochure which I am happy with. I’ll have some more featured entries soon. Thanks for reading. DP

I am probably one of the biggest Tupac fans of all time – “Changes” is definitely one of my favorite songs ever. Good choice!

Coolies. :)

As I mentioned I’m looking into getting his Greatest Hits. Most of his other songs are of the same style as Changes right? And I would probably also enjoy them too? So therefore it would be worthwhile me picking that up? I need some ideas here. :D

Wakoopa is an nifty little site except I am a bit skeptical on how it tracks some programs. It definately has a lot of potential.
