PS Revised Edition::Modifications

Okay guys, all of the site modifications are completed. There will be a bit of tweaking over the next few days as I set up the regular features and tags. I think that the site looks excellent, I’m very proud to have ironed out some of the design flaws. If you are a subscriber then I strongly recommend checking out the site to marvel at the changes.

The modification list is as follows:

-reworking of the header: new photo, Dr Yang and ‘Revised Edition’ added. Text also changed to ‘The Gaming Blog of Daniel Johnson’
-All segments on the side panel are broken up with bolded text and a different backdrop
-Archives has now moved to its own page
-Categories have been split up into 3 main groups; General, Gaming and Regular Features
-Search is now in the left hand side
-Content Spotlight images and segment added in navigation
-flickr feed and Tag Cloud added to navigation
-Subscribe relocated to top of navigation
-Technorati button added to header
-More bookmarking options added to each post
-Related entries added to every post, in post view page
-Comments are now clearly sorted and include Bloglog avatars
-Blog CMS has been upgraded to Wordpress 2.2
-no more outline problem with PNG images viewed in IE and FF
-a few admin plugins and Wordpress fixes

Over the next few days I shall add:

-rewrite the About page
-a new page featuring links to my favourite posts
-tags to each post, hence getting the tag cloud working

These changes have been made to ensure that it is easier to access the site’s content and browse the site. I used the bolded text to separate the eyesore that was the mass of text in the navigation.
